Hello, i'm a french user of Postnuke and XForum.
I decided to use XForum because for me, it's the best forum compatible with
Postnuke.
So, i went here because on Trollix forums, there is not support, certainly
because the lastest version of XForum is old. But i want to use this
forum.
My problem is that even if i succeeded to install manually XForum
v1.81.1 there are some and some errors. I've passed the majority, and now
the forum is ok, but it's not possible to configure anything in the admin
of the forum...
So i've seen you made an upgrade of the trollix XForum, i installed, but
there are the same problems.
One last thing, because the automatic install doesn't work i didn't change
SQL tables for your forum upgrade, this is the same SQL that in the XForum
1.81.1 version.
Can your hear my problem ? There is any solution ?

If you could please specify what your problem is we would perhaps be able
to help you?
I have a special version of XForum that runs under PHP5. Maybe you schould
try that one?
I have not had the time to upload it yet though!!!

Hello,
First, thanks to try to help me.
My postnuke version is the lastest, 0.764 pheonix, when i installed the
XForum, there was an error in the header.php, and with a modification of
the php code i succeeded to pass this error.
My actual problem is in fact, that i can't configure my XForum, in the
admin i have only access to the general configuation page, but i can't
modify the config of XForum, because when i click on subit, the changes are
not submitted, and config return to default.
And i can't try to edit forums, categories, moderators, members, themes,
smileys, all others things, because there is not admin page which appears
when i click on the links...
If you could, i would like to use your version of Xforum, because i have
php5.

Hello, i downloaded your version and installed.
The problem is still the same, i cannot admin my forums, because the links
on administration page don't work. I tried with register_globals ON and
OFF, and it doesn't work, i think it's because my version of Postnuke is a
recent version 0.764 and this forum runs with 0.750 not after ...
Thanks for your help ! But i think i must use another forum :s

It doesn't run with PN.764 yet... sorry didn't se that in your post.
I run it on a PN.762 site though!

You are correct.
In PN.764 it is NOT possible to run any module or script that requires
register_globals ON even if your site accepts it.
In (hopefully) near future I will have a version ready that runs on
register_globals OFF systems!

works.

There is just one bug on this forum, when you edit your account the
redirection page doesn-t work, there is a blank page. I try to resolve this
problem ^^'

Could you please tell us about your server specifics... I run PN.762 and
XForum 1.82a.3 on PHP 4.3.9 and MySQL 4.1.20 and does not have any problems
like yours.
Perhaps it's related to the above combination and PHP5... anyways... would
like to get the problem sorted
